Embracing Simplicity Hermitage

Embracing Simplicity Hermitage, an American Buddhist-Taoist Contemplative Order, was organized to provide residential training for monastics, those considering monasticism and members of our Order. We respect all the spiritual masters and offer haven for contemplatives and serious practitioners.

Welcome

American life poses its own unique challenges for the contemplative who also has commitments to family or others. Just finding enough time and a suitable place with like-minded practitioners for a few days’ retreat and study, or extended individual or group practice can be difficult…especially if you are not an established member of a “traditional” Sangha.

So, Embracing Simplicity Hermitage offers opportunities for individual practitioners or groups without retreat facilities of their own to step into a slower, quieter space for reflection and practice as often as possible.
